Learn toCount,Add and Multiply inGroups with the help of the pictorial guide included in all 1-12 Times Table. Encourage Kiddies to apply working steps in the column provided. Use the Quiz Sheet to find out their level of progression. Once they are familiar with these Numbers, we can also work the facts backwards to touch on Division. Multiplication is also a great toolbox for higher learning math like Fractions & Algebra and can be useful to our daily lives too!
Tips for learning Multiplication:
Work on 1 time table at a time till it’s mastered
Explain and count in Groups Eg. 10 x 3 = 10 groups of 3s
Use Stepping Stones for harder facts.
Eg. 11 x 3 is just one more group of 3 than 10 x 3 (Easy), we can add 3 to 30 and achieve the same answer too. Similar for 9 x 3, we can minus away one group of 3 from 30 to get 27.
Strengthen memory through random reviews. Test multiplication facts according to Kiddie’s level.
